The Art Pad is an art studio for the whole family. We like art, whether it’s Crayola or Calder, Degas or decoupage, macramé or Mondrian. At The Art Pad, you can design a mobile, paint a landscape, make a mosaic from Aunt Mae’s china or form fanciful figures from Fimo clay. Meet our instructors!
The Art Pad inhabits an old stone house in Central Austin, providing a nurturing environment for the creative spirit. In the first of two workrooms you'll find an extensive collection of art books, images files, and project ideas available to lend support for your latest creative endeavor or artistic quest. Our second workroom is dedicated to mosaic art. Thousands of china shards, ceramic, and glass mosaic tiles line the walls, ready to adorn a lamp, table or whimsy of imagination.
